The Visit With Ruby

January 14, 2007. Tom went to hockey again this morning and then Renee and Tom and I went out on the park. I’m really starting to get the hang of this fetch game. It only lasted a short time though and then some small dogs arrived, so we left and went for a walk instead. Later in the afternoon we went for another longer walk and I think there is a surprise in store later on.

Yes, I was right. We went to visit friends of Renee and Tom. Caroline and Jim and their two sons. Another friend, Carol was there too. But, the big surprise was the playmate for me. They have a dog named Ruby. She is smaller and we started running around. Then we got to go out in their backyard and run around there too. I couldn’t control myself though and jumped on Ruby, so we got separated. Ruby went to stay in her crate and I had to lie down and be calm. That was hard to do though, because Ruby’s two boys were there and they were so much fun to play with too.

Hey, I smell food. I know, I know, I’m not allowed people food, but that food smells so good. I heard someone call it crab. I don’t know what that is, but, I sure do love the smell. Very unusual. I was really good, tonight, I lay down beside the table and didn’t even beg once. We gave Carol a ride home. She is really nice, I like her.
