Finally after a few throws, I caught on, grabbed it and ran it back to Tom. This was apparently the right thing to do as I got hugs and compliments, as well as a bacon treat. From then on, we were away to the races playing fetch with the Kong.
One minor interruption occurred when this man came walking across the field. He walked towards me and stopped about fifty feet away and just stared for a few minutes. I was kind of shocked and just stood there looking back at him. I’m not too sure about this guy. He then made the sign of the cross towards me and continued walking. I think I’ve been blessed. The guy walked over to the baseball field where the Little League kids store all their equipment in two big steel boxes. The man knelt in front of them and began to pray to them. This seemed strange to me, and I’m only a sheepdog. I can’t imagine what Tom thought.
It must be the full moon these last few days as we have really run into some strange and abusive people recently. Oh well, it takes all kinds I guess. Tom and I went to another pet store today, called “True Carnivores” and I got some more presents. We picked up a new harness called a Sense-Able. It works better than a regular harness because it won’t allow me to strain against it. While we were there, I was the star of the show. Everyone who worked in the store came out to pet me and give me treats. It was great. Another present was a ball launcher.
Later on, Tom took me out to the park again and we got in almost 40 undisturbed minutes. The ball launcher works great, firing the ball a long distance, but the ball is much smaller and it is a little harder for me to see with all this hair in my ey

Afterwards we went and picked up Renee and then we went for our big 2 hour walk. We were a little earlier than usual and as a result there were more people on the street. I was getting lots of attention and compliments from people passing. While we were underway, we changed our route very slightly, by walking on the opposite sides of the streets on occasion. Imagine our surprise when we found a sushi restaurant named after me. Who knew?
