Kyros

February 3, 2007. Today, Tom, Renee and I went to the park to play fetch. We started off and were about ten minutes in when my friend Kyros showed up. I was so happy to see her. The two of us chased the ball and romped and wrestled and played. Kyros tends to keep me a little bit in my place, and a lot of times came away with a mouthful of white fur. It was a great time and after about an hour, I was really worn out from all of it.

Later today, we get to go back to Canine Spirit for my second obedience class. It should be a lot of fun meeting up with the new friends I made last week. Training went just ok today. I was very stressed and as a result pretty distracted by all the goings on around me. About halfway through, I began to settle down and started to catch on to some of the commands. I sure do love these treats, Pupperoni and Bacon Strips.

After training we headed out to meet up with Karl and awhile later met with Tamara and her new boyfriend, Jess. I really love Karl and Tamara, and Jess seems ok. I was getting lots of pats and hugs from everyone. I did my guard dog job on the truck while everyone was out for dinner. Afterwards we drove Tamara and Jess home and then Renee, Karl, Tom and I went home.

We were all sitting around in the house, watching the end of the Canucks game against Calgary and I went a little mental for awhile. I started barking at Karl and Tom and nipping at both of them. I just wanted to play and I crossed over the line a bit and I think I nipped a little too hard. It resulted in me being banished to the kitchen for a time while I settled down. That’s the first time I have been locked out of the living room. I guess I better turn it down a notch or two.

When it was bedtime, Karl jumped into his sleeping bag and I lay down next to him and slept there the entire night. That way I was sure that he was safe and at the same time I was sure that Renee and Tom were safe too.
