Milo The Golden Doodle

February 10, 2007. Today is a wonderful day. The sun is shining, and it is warm like a spring day. I woke up about 7 and went to see when Tom and Renee were going to get up. Tom got up, but Renee didn’t and it just looked so warm and cuddly, I just couldn’t resist. So I jumped up and snuggled up to Renee and we both went back to sleep. Tom must have snapped these photos when we were snoozing. After awhile of this, Tom took me out for a pee and then we came back inside. Tom gave me a good brushing and boy does that ever feel good.
After breakfast and coffee, we went out on the park for a good run and fetch session. Surprisingly on such a beautiful day, the park was deserted. One little fluff ball came and introduced himself, but Renee would not let me off the leash. I really wanted to play with him, but he was really too small for me.

What a break I got a little later on. A lady showed up with a big old Golden Doodle named “Milo”. After a proper introduction, I was allowed off the leash and Milo and I ran and ran and ran. We jumped and wrestled and just had a great old time. Milo is a very patient dog and he really put up with my puppy exuberance. He was quite a bit bigger than me too. We chased each other and played until we couldn’t play anymore. We were both exhausted. It was a great time on a great day.

Later on we will be going to the next training session, and I should still be tired enough to be mellow in class. Training went pretty well today. I was less stressed by the other dogs than I have been and I was responding really well to commands including, sit, heel, down, spin and shake-a-paw. I had one little meltdown right near the end when I snapped at the instructor a bit. She believes that someone treated me aggressively before I came to Tom and Renee, but, I don’t remember. She also told me that because it was the end of the hour, I was totally frustrated and burned right out. All in all it was a good session.
