February 28, 2007. Wow, it snowed overnight. We never expected that. I love to play in the snow, but, it sure does make that tennis ball hard to find. Nevertheless, I chased that ball ‘till the cows came home. Well, at least until it was time for us to go home. I had a few funny incidents today, like forgetting that when I pick the ball up, I get a mouthful of snow too. Man,
is that ever cold. Can you say brain freeze?
One time I got a little too over eager and started to chase as Tom was in the downswing of the ball launcher. The ball came out and POW! got me right in the side of the head. HAH! It didn’t even slow me down. Tom was pretty worried about me though, checking me for injuries and apologizing. It’s ok Tom, I’m not hurt and it was my fault I got hit for jumping the gun a bit.
We played until the parks board guys showed up in their pickup truck, to of all things maintain the baseball diamond. I don’t quite know how they will accomplish that with the light covering of snow on it. Well, it isn’t my problem anyway. When they drove onto the field, I was really good. I went and sat beside Tom. Tom was freezing cold anyway after 40 minutes outside playing and we decided to go home. We got inside, he rubbed me down with a towel (I love that) and then I ate my breakfast, before we go and get Tom’s. Today has started out as a great day.
