February 24, 2007. Today is another training day, but it started a little differently. We were about to head over to the park for a good game of fetch, when an entire baseball team showed up and started working out. Who would have thought a baseball team would be here in February, working out in 4 degree Celsius weather. Oh well! Instead after breakfast we went back to the forest pathway that we went to last week.
We had a good long walk, 4.3K to be exact. I got to meet several other dogs as well as a plethora of joggers running by. I was very well behaved and a few even stopped to say hello and pat me on the head. I really enjoy all this attention and my bum is wiggling almost beyond my control.
Finally it was time for training. We went a different way to class today, but when we got within two blocks of there, I knew where we were going and started to vocalize. I’m really excited about class. My great week of obedience didn’t end well today. I was very distracted and preoccupied in class. Finally I was so frustrated by the end, I just couldn’t get any commands right.
After we left, a young person with special needs, and her mother, came up and wanted to pet me. Renee said it was ok, and I complied
by sitting and then lying down. I even gave her a kiss on the face, which made her very happy. While this was happening, three more young ladies came up and were fawning all over me. Hey! Guess what? I’m a chick magnet.
After we got home and Tom and Renee had finished dinner, I snuggled up with Tom on the floor and then afterwards, jumped up next to Renee on the bed. I really love snuggling up with the both of them. I love them so much, and they love me. It is a good arrangement all around.
