April 7, 2007. Bunnies? What bunnies? Everybody keeps talking about the Easter Bunny coming this weekend, but I haven’t seen him. I’m going to have to keep my eyes peeled and see if I can spot this guy. Failing that, I’ll sniff him out. Just what does a bunny smell like anyway?
Yesterday we went for a walk on the west side of the city, in the rich part of town. There were all sorts of new smells, sights and dogs to meet. Before we got there though we went for a walk in a huge forest called Pacific Spirit Park. It was great. I loved all the smells of the trees and leaves. There were lots of bicycles too, which I didn’t like too much. One day I’ll catch me one of those.
Afterwards we met Renee’s friend Katherine, her daughter Klara and their little dog Mimi. We did our big walk around the neighbourhood and Tom carried water and my portable bowl. That came in handy as it was quite warm yesterday and it was nice to get a nice cool drink of water.

In the evening I got an extra special treat. Tom and Renee had barbecued steak and I got some of the leftover steak and then I got a nice bone to chew on. Oh, was that steak ever heavenly and the bone was awesome. That’s the first time I have had real meat to eat and only the second time I’ve had a real bone.
Today was cooler but still fairly warm and muggy. Renee, Tom and I went on a big walk to meet up with Carol. I got a big shock when Carol was on a bicycle and I barked a bit. Then Renee started pushing the bike and I calmed down after that.

We went and sat at a little restaurant in the outdoor patio area. I got a nice bowl of water and some treats to eat. It was a very busy street with lots of pedestrians, bicycles and other moving contraptions. It was very interesting and Tom and Renee both kept telling me what a good boy I was being. Another great day of being me.
