Conspiracy Theory?

April 26, 2007. The weather has gone south and it is cold, wet and miserable again after a couple of beautiful, sunny, warm spring days. Tom and I went and played in the park again yesterday. We went earlier than normal for a change and only some of the Chicken Wing Dancers were there.

Now we were out on the field and playing and all was going well. Then one of the Chicken Wing Dancers arrives late. She walks in close to the fence where we are playing and as she is walking, she attempts to attract my attention. She did this by repeatedly calling my name over and over. The big problem though, is that I have never been introduced to her, so I’m not interested. The other big problem is that she doesn’t have a clue what my name is.

She kept saying “Tomy”, “Tomy” over and over and that isn’t my name. So again I ignored her. Then Helicopter Man arrived late and walked along the fence and tapping the top at regular intervals, just like Tom does when he wants to get my attention. This didn’t work either as I recognize this guy. I know he doesn’t like me and the last time I went anywhere near him, he tried to kick me several times.

Just what is up with these people? It’s like they think they own the park and don’t want me around. They don’t do it to other dogs, why are they picking on me? I haven’t even gone near any of them since my first few weeks in Vancouver. Why would they want to attract my attention? It makes no sense to me whatsoever, and I’m just a dog. Tom can’t figure it out either.

We took a car ride later to a Doctor’s appointment for Tom and he put Tom on blood pressure medications. They made Tom really tired and weak, but we still went for a walk late in the afternoon. Then watched the Canucks lose their playoff game to the Ducks 5-1.

Today was even wetter and more miserable than yesterday. We went to the park again today to play ball and we both got thoroughly soaked and cold. I think we will just hang around here until the weather changes. Tom feels much better today.
