August 15, 2007. For the first time in awhile Tom and I did our morning walk by ourselves. We did a full 6K as well. 8K would have still been pushing it a bit. Tom is starting to feel better though. There is a bit of anticipation in the air though, and I’m not quite sure what is up.
The guys working on the house next door showed up at 7:30 Am and I had to go over and bark my hellos to them. Then I came back and flopped on the deck to watch. Tom started doing chores around the cabin, like sweeping the floor and doing the dishes.
After that was done, Tom carried two red containers down to the beach and went over to the boat with them. He pulled out some kind of hose and stuck it in the side of the boat. When I got a whiff of it, I figured out that he was gassing up the boat. First time this whole trip he has needed to do this. Karl is coming soon though, so I think Tom wants it ready for him.
He loaded the empty containers into the truck and we headed into town to refill them and buy groceries. We waited for the Greyhound to arrive to get today’s newspapers and who got off but Renee. Wow, am I ever excited and happy to see her. My bum is about ready to fall off it is wiggling so hard, plus I am giving her lots and lots of kisses. What a day it is.
